The welfare of orphans in the country continues to receive attention from various parties as they collectively donate in conjunction with Ramadhan. The Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque Takmir Committee, Sengkurong along with the Mosque's Muslimah and Syaababul Iman Youth Group, on 16th March late afternoon organised a Donation Presentation ceremony for orphans. It took place at the Mosque in Sengkurong.

On hand to present the donations to 104 selected orphans was Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos, Deputy Minister for Civil Service Governance at the Prime Minister's Office. The event was followed by the reading of Tahlil. The event aims to support orphans and ease their financial burden for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
